Apple Computer Trouble Shooting 1 and 2

Prerequisites
Because of the amount of material we cover in class, we do require students to be comfortable using a mouse, opening
and saving files, and the general operations of computers. While we will make every reasonable effort to help, students
with insufficient skills may be required to observe the class lessons or do their best to keep up without slowing down
the rest of the class. We highly recommend working with the application tutorial before coming to the course.

Class 1:

Information on how to detect the differences between hardware and software problems
Demonstrations of useful utilities including Norton Utilities 5.0.2
Discussions about MacOS versions from 7.1 through 9.0
Information about PowerPC G3, Blue and White G3s, G4s, iMac, and iBook Specific Issues
SCSI, Firewire, Airport Cards, USB, and ADB discussed
Guidance on networking-related problems and solutions
Demonstrations on the installation and maintenance of memory, peripherals, and various expansion devices
